Mandatory Munimuni Log Number 1

Unlike most people who forge the most wonderful thoughts of the day while showering, hence shower thought, I am not most people and I don't take very long showers. Showers for me are like part of routine that needs be completed pronto. My best thoughts of the day happen in bed pre, or post-sleep. I get to meditate and reflect back a lot before slumber (though it's morning for me, downer!). And after sleeping, if I'm not lazy enough to jot down on my dream journal, I reflect on things that come to my mind in my mandatory munimuni part of the day, minutes after waking up. This is my shower thought equivalent. And that keeps me sane. Away from the rut. My alone time.  As I debut this portion on my blog, I welcome you to one of the most recent results of this habit.  The premise is this: We are born and nurtured by parents (or in the case of adoptive parents -- foster parents). Human babies are so fragile we are rendered useless until the moment we're able to wal

Movie Review: Birdman [Or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance]

The ever present beating of drums throughout the entirety of the film keeps the emotional tensions at bay; it sure made me at ease with every shift of the scene change momentum with smooth camera transitions. The coping with the roller-coaster of emotions had been as smooth as I was viewing a musical. The film is almost 2 hours on dialogue yet there was never a dull moment. That euphoria kept me glued; it connects fantasy and real world seamlessly. It lets us enter into his inner world of personal demons. It’s also more like a play on celebrity relevance knowing how Keaton disappeared from the limelight so many years after he was the iconic Batman. All he was now is an ageing actor. I love Batman but we all know this movie franchise always gets a reboo

My 2014: Life in Perspective

I promised myself this thing would go out at the dawn of the New Year, at January 1 st , mere moments before December 31, 2014 ends. It never happened. I penned down an outline to fill in the space below a month ago but time crept up to me. So without further ado, I’m now fulfilling that promise to myself to start blogging again after my failed exploration in late 2013. To begin things, I’d like to sum the previous year in a few words: extreme polarity. You’ll know soon enough why though. And by beginning the year with a look from the previous year, I wish to detail everything from my perspective by backtracking the highlights of 2014. I wish very much to continue this tradition by next year and perhaps blog more often than before. Best of luck to me! So please fasten the seat belts, it’s gonna be a randomly long ride. First Quarter – 2014 At the Crossroads In January of 2014, I sure was in a bit of a crossroad. I don’t want to foul mouth my previous employers. My
